- I would like to improve on painting more precisely and washing the brush before I use another color. I have been painting sunset-like paintings, that include many colors which fade into each other, and I want to improve on blending colors so that the painting looks realistic. In order to do this, I will slow down when I am painting and change the water so that it stays relatively clear.
- I have been inspired by another painting/drawing every time I paint/draw, and I want to explore creating my own piece of art instead of following someone else’s. I will do this by thinking of landscapes or looking at people when I paint and draw, and creating the art on my own.
Looking back, I am really proud of the two drawings I have made in the past week. I drew Billie Eilish and that was the first time I drew a face with shading and a lot of details to make it look really realistic. Yesterday, I started drawing a young girl and I can already tell that I am improving. I also started painting a beach scene which is something that I have done before and enjoyed doing.
Looking forward: I want to continue drawing people and painting landscapes because I think that I have a lot of potential to improve.
Takeaways: I really enjoy drawing people and painting sunsets. Here is a drawing of a girl that I am working on:
